Being a commuter can be a unique and challenging situation. We understand that not only are you focused on your academic studies, but you may also
have work and family responsibilities away from the Syracuse University campus. There may not be enough hours in the day for everything you need and want to do.
The Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Services (OCCS) is here to help
you meet those challenges and make the most of your college experience.
Come see us for resources, advice, information, and programming assistance.
Here are some other ways we can help you:
1. OCCS has created the Commuter Lounge for you in our office at 754
Ostrom Avenue. You can come hang out between classes, watch TV, do
homework, surf the web, or just relax on a couch. There are snacks and
drinks available, too.
2. We know that buying your lunch every day can get expensive; save
money by carrying your lunch and leaving it in our fridge.
3. Is there an office or organization you want to know more about? Let us
know, and we can work together to create a program.
In this guide you’ll find more information on resources available to you, ways
to get involved, ways to fill your time, and sources of support available to you.
We look forward to meeting you and learning how we can further serve you.
